Used at every step of the supply chain bar code verifiers have become a critical tool to improve and maintain the efficiency of the retail supply chain. Shortly after the advent of the UPC bar code, it became apparent that printers needed so way to ensure the bar codes they printed would work when they arrived in the grocery store cashiers hands.
